Scarlet Scheduler

1. Overview

Scarlet Scheduler ("we", "us", or "our") is a free tool built to help Rutgers University students plan their course schedules. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account. The only data we process is the content of your chat messages as you interact with Scarlet. We do not collect your name, email address, student ID, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily include it in a message.

3. How We Use Your Data

Chat messages are sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate scheduling responses. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties. We do not use your messages for advertising or profiling.

4. Data Retention

We do not persistently store your conversation history on our servers. Once your session ends, your messages are not retained by Scarlet Scheduler. Anthropic's own data retention policies may apply to messages processed through their API.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We may use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns (e.g., page views). We do not use tracking cookies or fingerprinting technologies.

6. Children's Privacy

Scarlet Scheduler is intended for use by college students. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
